Who gives the TOEFL?

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is conducted throughout the year for those who are planning to migrate to US for academic or settlement purpose. The test tests English proficiency in academic settings only.

What does it test?

There are four main areas, in this computer-based test: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. In each, the test-taker is graded out of 30 and the total scores is out of 120 (for the internet-based TOEFL).

When and how to give the test?

To register for the test, you need to apply at www.ets.org/toefl. For the test, you will also need a valid passport.
