Who gives the PTE?

PTE (Pearson Test of English) is endorsed by the GMAT and is a computer-based test that evaluates the proficiency of non-native speakers of English. The results are out within 5 business days and are valid for 2 years.

What does it test?

The four basic communication skills are tested: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. Each is scored out of 90 and then the average is taken out of 90. The test is computer based and has a number of small items or question types.

When and how to give the test?

You can register for the test even a week in advance. The test goes on for around 3 hrs and you can apply online at www.pearsonpte.com/TestMe/Taking/Pages/register.aspx
